Many of us put off going to the dentist simply because we don’t want to go. However, many of us put it off because going feels like a half-day project that means taking time off work to do something that we don’t necessarily find fun to do. When you’re already juggling a full calendar, it’s easy to keep pushing it off, especially if it means taking precious PTO to do it.
If you work in Golden Valley, St. Louis Park, or the western suburbs, there’s a good chance Bassett Creek Dental is closer to your office than you think. For a lot of our patients, a dental appointment isn’t a “take the afternoon off” situation. It’s a lunch break, in and out with missing very little time from work.
Conveniently Located Near…
Bassett Creek Dental is located at 5851 Duluth Street in Golden Valley, right off Highway 55. If you work at any of the following companies, you’re already close:
General Mills — Golden Valley
General Mills’ world headquarters sits just down the road on General Mills Boulevard. Thousands of employees work on that campus, and a surprisingly large number of them are our patients. If you work at General Mills and haven’t found a dentist yet, or if the one you have that is all the way across town, you’re spending more time on this than you need to. A cleaning and checkup, door to door, fits inside a standard lunch break for most people.
Allianz Life Insurance — Golden Valley
Allianz Life Insurance is headquartered on Golden Hills Drive, just minutes from our office. If you’re one of the thousands of employees working there, getting to us doesn’t require getting on a highway or fighting downtown traffic. It’s a short drive on local roads, and parking is easy.
Target Corporation — Minneapolis (Downtown)
Target’s corporate headquarters is in downtown Minneapolis, and a lot of Target employees live in the western suburbs — Golden Valley, Plymouth, St. Louis Park, Crystal. If that’s you, coming to us on your way home or during a work-from-home day is often more practical than trying to find a dentist closer to the office in the middle of the city.
Park Nicollet / HealthPartners — St. Louis Park
Park Nicollet’s main campus in St. Louis Park is one of the area’s largest healthcare employers. Ironically, healthcare workers are often the worst at taking care of their own health appointments — the schedule never slows down enough. We get it. That’s exactly why we offer early morning appointments starting at 7 a.m., so you can come before your shift starts if that’s easier.
Nordic Ware, MoneyGram & Other St. Louis Park Employers
St. Louis Park has a healthy mix of employers — Nordic Ware, MoneyGram International, and a number of UnitedHealth Group and financial services offices are all in or near the city. If you’re working anywhere along the Highway 100 or 394 corridor, Bassett Creek Dental is a straightforward drive with no downtown hassle.
What a Lunch Break Appointment Actually Looks Like
Here’s a realistic picture for a General Mills employee coming in for a routine cleaning and checkup:
- Leave the campus at noon
- 5–7 minute drive to our office
- Cleaning and exam: 45–60 minutes
- Back at your desk before 1:30 p.m.
That’s it. No need to take a half-day PTO, no rescheduling three times because the timing never works out. Just a routine appointment that fits inside the time you already have.
For procedures that take a little longer, like a filling, a crown, or a cosmetic consultation, we can work around your schedule too. Early morning appointments at 7 a.m. and extended evening hours through Wednesday mean you’re not limited to the middle of the workday.
Bring the Whole Family While You’re at It
One of the things we hear most from working parents is that coordinating dental appointments for the whole family is the actual headache, not the individual appointment, but the four separate trips to four separate time slots.
We can coordinate for your entire family to coming in during the same-day and very close to the same time for each family member. If your partner works nearby, or if you want to schedule your kids on a day you’re both off, we can stack the appointments so everyone is seen on the same visit. One trip, everyone checked off the list.
We treat patients of all ages, from first teeth to full family care to senior dental care, so you don’t need separate practices for adults and kids. One dentist, one location, one relationship that grows with your family over time.
New Patients Are Always Welcome
If you’ve been meaning to find a dentist since you moved to the area, or if you’ve been putting off switching from a practice that’s too far away, this is the nudge. We’re accepting new patients and we make the first visit straightforward, no complicated intake process, no hard sell on treatments you don’t need.
We have over 500 Google reviews and a 4.9 rating, built over years of treating families in this community. A lot of our patients have been with us for decades. Some have brought their kids in, and now their kids are bringing their kids in. That kind of longevity doesn’t happen by accident.
If you work nearby and you’re ready to stop putting off your dental care, we’d love to be your dental home. Call us at 763-546-1301, request an appointment online, or just stop in. We’re easy to find, easy to get to, and we’ll take good care of you.
