What happens at a back-to-school dental checkup?
A back-to-school visit at Bassett Creek Dental includes a full cleaning, a cavity check, and a look at how everything is coming in and lining up. If your child plays fall sports, we can talk mouthguards at the same visit. Most checkups take about 45 minutes to an hour, and with early morning appointments starting at 7am plus Saturday hours, there is a good chance we can see your child without touching the school day at all.
How often should kids see the dentist?
Every six months for most kids. Scheduling one visit in late summer and one in winter is an easy rhythm that keeps checkups from colliding with the busiest parts of the school year.
